Animoto: slideshows on caffine

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

By way of Nick Nokes on Twitter, I saw his link to Animoto. This service (free for 30 second videos, $3 per video on longer lengths) takes your images and music, and creates a video out of it with transitions, movement, and flash.

Check it out, then try it out. My first piece: “DAT LAT IN”

Oh, and this is what I got when I used the “One Click Remix” feature:

And one more remix – used some of the music provided from the Animoto site and it added more of the images I selected

VuVox – the latest media mashup tool

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

I found out about the VuVox tool while listening to “The Real Deal” podcast (thanks for the podcast recommendation Andy). It allows you to combine your media in different ways to create some quick and dirty nice looking presentations that you can embed in a blog or other web page, much like YouTube and others.

Here is a quick slide show I built in 5 minutes by linking to a Flickr account and dragging and dropping the photos right into VuVox. The pictures are from the 2007 NMC Summer Conference I attended with some others from UMW earlier this summer. Where has the summer gone?
